Following a review of its drill data, North Atlantic Resources (NAC-T) has calculated an initial resource for its FT gold project in southern Mali.
From a database of 73 core holes and 150 reverse-circulation holes, consulting firm SRK estimated an indicated resource of 4.5 million tonnes grading 1 gram gold per tonne at the Tiekoumala deposit, plus inferred resources of 2.3 million tonnes grading 1.1 grams at Tiekoumala and 3 million tonnes grading 1.1 grams at Foulalaba.
The resource has a cutoff grade of 0.5 gram per tonne and is calculated to a minimum width of 3 metres.
North Atlantic has delineated a 2.1-km strike length of mineralized structures on the two deposits; each occupies one of two major structural breaks that intersect on the property.
