Vancouver The new Anatolides partnership between junior Odessey Resources (ODY-V) and major BHP-Billiton (BHP-N) may have its first project.
After reviewing all the available geological data for southeastern Turkey, Odessey picked up the 71-sq.-km Baskil copper-gold porphyry property some 35 km southwest of Elazig. The area is considered promising for copper porphyry deposits due to its geological similarities and geographical proximity to a porphyry belt in neighboring Iran.
The Baskil property has been presented to BHP under the guidelines of the joint venture agreement in last June. BHP has the option to acquire a 50% stake by spending 65% of the first US$1 million. The major will complete a property assessment of the Baskil project before proceeding.
