OGS book focuses on Sudbury

A book on geotechnics published by the Ontario Geological Survey is designed to assist city planners in Sudbury.

The Physical Environment of the City of Greater Sudbury is the first publication to describe the urban geology of the area.

Ten chapters provide information about the landscape of the Sudbury area, including descriptions of hydro-geology and urban development pressures.

“We have an important new source of information on the local environment that will affect how we design growth here,” says Sudbury Mayor James Gordon.
