New drill results from the NOT No. 3 property in the Okak South region of Labrador reveal more nickel-bearing intervals.
Partners Noront Resources (NOT-V) and Golden Trump Resources (GTZ-V) report that hole 96-3, which marks the eastern limit of the property’s Zone A sulphides, intersected a 0.4-metre interval of massive sulphide patches that assayed 0.19% nickel, 0.15% copper and 0.03% cobalt.
The next hole, with massive and disseminated sulphides at shallow depths, returned even better results. A 0.35-metre interval assayed 0.86% nickel, 0.66% copper and 0.07% cobalt, while a 1.75-metre interval assayed 1.57% nickel, 1.02% copper and 0.12% cobalt.
Gold, platinum and palladium analyses from hole 96-2 did not return anomalous results.
Drilling has resumed, with two holes stepping out 100 metres from 96-2 and 96-4. A surface and downhole pulse-electromagnetic survey will be conducted, as well.
The NOT No. 3 property, shared equally by the partners, lies 80 km north of the Voisey’s Bay copper-nickel-cobalt project, owned by Inco.
