Toronto mining consultant Edward Thompson has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Mingold Resources, a newly formed company based in Toronto. Thompson has served as a senior executive of Granduc Mines, Lacana Mining Corp. and Teck Corp. He is a past president of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and recently chaired an Ontario government committee on junior mine financing.
