Orezone hits high-grade gold

Trenching by Orezone Resources (ORZ-M) has revealed a high-grade gold zone at the Intidougou property in Burkina Faso.

Eight channel samples from a continuous zone of highly silicified, brecciated bedrock returned 17.2 grams gold per tonne over 14.9 metres (weighted average). More sampling and a ground geophysical survey are planned, in preparation for drilling. The new discovery is about 1.5 km northeast of the Intidougou A zone. Orezone says other anomalies have been identified on the property, adjacent to the Intidougou Fault zone.

In northern Burkina Faso, Orezone is carrying out sampling and trenching on the Kerboul property in order to delineate targets for drilling. The property comprises numerous artisanal workings on quartz-stockwork lodes associated with a fault zone. The company notes that the depth of oxidation in the fault zone is 120-180 metres, “which facilitates a fast-track approach to defining a minable oxide reserves.”
