Orvana to drill Butte Highlands

Drilling is expected to begin in May on the Butte Highlands property in Montana. Orvana Minerals (TSE) is planning a 25,000-ft. program, including infill drilling on the Nevin Hill resource, as well as extension drilling on the open ends of the deposit.

The Nevin Hill resource comprises three principal zones: the upper, middle and lower. The upper zone is estimated to contain 3 million tons grading 0.3-0.35 oz. gold per ton, and the middle and lower structures constitute a combined 1 million tons grading 0.25-0.35 oz. gold. All three zones exist more than 1,000 ft. below surface, and are considered underground targets.

In addition to drilling in the immediate area of Nevin Hill, Orvana will conduct mapping and sampling on the host shale formation to the east in an effort to define drill targets.
