After being under a suspended trading order for more than eight years, Canadian Magnesite Mines came back to life trading at 5 cents -15 cents . Good news for long-suffering shareholders who might find some comfort in the fact that their investment is not totally lost.
Other better issues this week include Edda Resources at 43 cents -48 cents and Knap Enterprises, which closed at $1.90-$2.10. Knap was a former mining concern which is now in the flooring business.
Cleyo Resources was also stronger at $2.30-$2.50. A new issue, Continental Research and Development, traded at 60 cents -70 cents . The company has entered into a joint venture agreement with Ronrico Explorations to explore the latter company’s Casa Berardi gold properties in Quebec.
Companies involved with legal suits were also active traders. Mount Pleasant Resources, which is fighting with several major companies over a tungsten property in New Brunswick, was better at $4-$4.50. Macdonald Mines, which is trying to stave off a dissident shareholders group and its former attorney, who claims he is owed unpaid legal bills, was quiet at 60 cents -70 cents .
