Pangea confirms high grade

The latest results from the Tulawaka project in Tanzania indicate that the high-grade gold mineralization discovered earlier this year is continuous, reports 70%-owner Pangea Goldfields (PGD-T).

Pangea and partner Explorations Minieres du Nord (MDN-M) launched the current program of reverse-circulation drilling to test two northwest-southeasterly trending bodies of mineralization called the East and West zones. Initial results from these structures returned up to 35.5 grams gold over 6 metres.

From the East zone, the best results included an intersection in the main vein that graded 25.3 grams gold per tonne over an estimated true width of 18 metres. The same hole cut a vein in the hangingwall and returned 30.2 grams from 19 to 23 metres.

On the West zone, two holes drilled 30 metres apart returned up to 5.3 grams over 7 metres and 13.9 grams over 11 metres.

The remainder of the 6,000-metre program will focus on extending the mineralization along strike.
