Partners explore near Detour Lake

Conquest Resources (CQR-V) and partner Trade Winds Ventures (TWD-V) have begun drilling at the Aurora gold property in the Detour Lake camp of northeastern Ontario.

The preliminary program is designed to evaluate the alteration features and stratigraphy along three of the main structural breaks that cross the main Aurora claim block from west to east. Trade Winds plans to drill at least 2,000 metres.

More drilling is planned after freeze-up, when access to all areas of the property is possible. This follow-up program will evaluate the 2,000-metre-long GB gold zone, identified by Conquest in its 2003 drill program, together with the Central and Northern zones, where gold mineralization was previously identified.

On the main Aurora property, Conquest has completed geochemical soil sampling over the GB gold zone, where previous drilling by Conquest and Placer Dome intersected up to 58.53 grams gold per tonne over 3 metres.
