Alan Bossin, 35, a lawyer and former legal counsel with the Insurance Bureau of Canada, has been appointed managing director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
Mr Bossin replaces William Griffith, who held the title of general manager, and who has left the Association.
A graduate of the faculty of law, University of Windsor, Mr Bossin in his work with the Insurance Bureau was both legal counsel and advisor to the Bureau’s industrial committees, which monitored federal and provincial policy issues.
Mr Bossin was involved in the interpretation of legislation, preparation of government submissions, and in media and public relations functions.
“We look forward to his leadership in strengthening the association’s general relationships, particularly within the areas of public relations, media relations and government lobbying,” commented association President Lionel Kilburn.
