Pelangio aims drills at Bristol Twp.

Drilling by Pelangio Larder Mines (PLLM-C) is under way at the Poirier prospect in Bristol Twp., west of Timmins, Ont.

Pelangio, which is earning a 50% interest from Copper Dome Mines (cpj-a), is drilling five targets defined in an induced-polarization (IP) survey. The property features some previously sampled gold showings.

Meanwhile, Placer Dome (PDG-T) has earned from Pelangio a 65% interest in the Fault Lake property, northeast of Cochrane, Ont. Placer has started a 3,000-metre drill program at Fault Lake in an effort to test three drill targets along strike from the company’s Detour Lake gold mine.

Based on current drilling, Placer hopes to compile a preliminary resource estimate of the M zone.

At Pelangio’s Seeley Lake property, 22 km northwest of Hemlo, IP surveys and conventional prospecting have served up several targets for drilling, which is slated to begin in September. Pelangio has dealt an option to earn a 50% interest in the property to Gregor Goldfields (GGLD-C).
