Perron Gold drilling H vein in preparation for drifting

In preparation for planned drifting on the 1,362-ft level at Perron Gold Mines’ Sleeping Giant project north of Amos, Que., a drilling program has been started to test the H vein, section by section between the 771-ft and 1,362-ft levels.

The company reports drilling, logging and assaying have been completed for the first of four sections, with the following results: Hole Intersection Grade

(ft) (oz au/t) 324-15 6.6 0.32 324-16 4.9 0.09 324-17 4.9 0.33 324-18 7.9 0.22 324-19 4.9 0.16

The section which underwent drilling is located 394 ft east of the No 1 shaft, close to the western contact of the north-south porphyry dike.

In addition, the company continues to report encouraging results from exploration drilling on the J and D veins. In the J zone, hole 402-3 cut 0.64 oz across 4.9 ft, while hole 411-4 intersected 0.22 oz across 4.9 ft. In the D zone, hole 411-4 cut 0.36 oz across 4.9 ft.

These three holes were collared 2,625 ft to 2,953 ft east and 1,641 ft north of the No 1 shaft. The intersections are uncut true width values over minimum widths of 4.9 ft.
