At its West Greenland diamond project, Platinova (PAS-T) has discovered a field of kimberlite boulders containing xenoliths of mantle material on the shore of a lake.
The lake is 500 metres in diameter, 12 km from tidewater and 80 km from Greenland’s Kangerlussuaq Airport.
Elsewhere on the West Greenland project, Platinova is carrying out glacial till sampling, prospecting and geological mapping in a program aimed at evaluating more than 100 geophysical targets and kimberlite indicator mineral anomalies.
Similar programs are in progress on Platinova’s other land holdings within the West Greenland Archean craton.
The glacial till samples undergo initial processing and concentration in a field laboratory in Nuuk, before being shipped to Canada for mineral and chemical analyses.
