The first four drill holes have yielded positive assay results in a new program at Waddy Lake Resources’ (TSE) Komis gold deposit in northern Saskatchewan.
Significant intersections include 0.36 oz. gold per ton over 13.1 ft. in hole KO94-110, 0.66 oz. gold over 13.1 ft. in KO94-111, 0.11 oz. gold over 19.7 ft. in KO94-112, and 0.96 oz. gold over 13.1 ft. in KO94-113. These holes are part of a 21,000-ft. program designed to double reserves by extending the ore zones to the west and down-plunge. It is also hoped that the drilling will confirm that the grade of the mineralization increases at depth (a theory based on the results of underground test mining). To date, 10 holes totaling 6,560 ft. have been drilled, and further assay results are pending.
