Program planned for Bonanza Dome

An exploration program is being planned by Freegold Recovery (VSE) for its Bonanza Dome gold project, 115 road miles northeast of Fairbanks, Alaska.

The company said this year’s program will include extensive trenching and sampling on the ES prospect where structurally enhanced, polymetallic stratiform gold mineralization has been discovered. The program will also include geochemical and geophysical surveys with follow-up trenching and sampling on a large, intrusive-hosted gold target on the Miller Creek prospect.

This work will begin in mid-July, and will be followed by drilling in late August if results continue to be positive.

Freegold also announced that it is in final negotiations with a major mining company relating to a joint venture agreement to develop the Bonanza Dome project. The property covers about 13,000 acres. Previous exploration is reported to have indicated mineralization on the ES, Miller Creek and Dome Creek prospects.
