Drilling has expanded the area of known mineralization at the Crone Hill property held by Quartz Mountain Gold Corp. Located in Oregon, near the Nevada border, the property was tested for extensions along its west, north and northeastern boundaries. Some of the better sections include 170 ft gra was tested for extensions along its west, north and northeastern boundaries. Some of the better sections include 170 ft grading 0.043 oz gold per ton in hole 135 and 170 ft grading 0.05 oz in hole 162. The latter hole also cut another 415-ft section which assayed 0.031 oz. In total, the company reported 25 intersections of low grade mineralization across appreciable widths.
Drill data is being computerized and will be used in a reserve calculation. At the Angels Camp area, located three miles east of Crone Hill, a 20-hole drill program is underway.
The property was acquired from Anaconda Minerals in 1986. Based on Anaconda drill data, the property has potential reserves ranging from 10-25 million tons grading 0.04 oz.
