The latest word from Del Norte Chrome Corp. is that a $120,000, 3,000-ft winter drill program has started on its 2,300-acre Rowan Lake gold bet near Kenora, Ont. Its operating partner International Platinum Corp., formerly Silver Lake Resources, can earn a 50% interest by spending $250,000 on exploration.

The targets to be looked at in this current drill program were located in a 67 basil-till drill program last year. They are found at the northern end of Rowan Lake and the southern end at Sullivan Bay.

Regarding the metal for which the company was presumably first named, Del Norte has entered into an option agreement with U.S. Chrome Inc. on all its chrome properties.

Under the terms of the agreement, U.S. Chrome must make a payment of $12,500(US) to Del Norte and spend $500,000 on exploration and development. This includes $150,000 in the first year with a minimum of $75,000 on the Bar Rick mine in Del Norte Cty., Calif.

Del Norte would also participate as to 40% up to the feasibility stage or can revert to a 20% carried interest. The company would also receive a $250,000 property payment from 50% of net production from Bar Rick production.

Del Norte trades on the Vancouver Stock Exchange around the 35 cents level with a 53-week high and low of 44 cents and 18 cents , respectively.
