QUERY Augdome acquired New Augarita assets

We recently discovered a share certificate for New Augarita Porcupine Mines dated June 9, 1939. The stock belonged to my wife’s late father. We would like to know if these shares are still valid, what company now owns them, its address, and what the shares are worth. J.T., North Battleford, Sask. New Augarita, incorporated in Ontario in 1936, had its assets and liabilities acquired by Augdome Exploration in 1957 on the basis of one Augdome share for five New Augarita shares. In 1966, Augdome, which trades on COATS, the over-the-counter market, changed its name to Augdome Corp. on a share-for-share basis. To exchange your New Augarita shares, contact Augdome Corp. Ltd. at 31 Jutland Rd., Toronto, Ont. M8Z 2G6. The company is acting as its own transfer agent. We advise sending your share certificate by registered mail. It has not been smooth sailing for New Augarita. The company has been dissolved twice; it had its charter cancelled the second time in 1976, and then revived in 1978. In November, 1987, New Augarita, reduced to a shell company, changed its name to Royal Aerospace Corp., which is also listed on COATS. Augdome, whose stock was recently 5 cents bid-15 cents ask, is no longer a shareholder of New Augarita/Royal.
