Exploration on the 6th level of the Duquesne mine, about 19 miles north of Rouyn-Noranda, Que., has identified the continuity toward the west of the main mineralized zones, Radisson Mining Resources (ME) reports.
Among the better drilling results are 12.2 ft. of 0.3 oz. gold per ton from hole DU6-127 and 12.7 ft. of 0.41 oz. from hole DU6-128. Drilling of the West zone will continue until February.
From the 9th level, drilling also returned encouraging results, including 5. 5 ft. of 2.4 oz. from hole DU9-69, 16.7 ft. of 0.4 oz. from hole DU-70, 2.4 ft. of 3.2 oz. from hole DU-74 and 6 ft. of 0.3 oz. from hole DU-75.
The company has stockpiled more than 2,755 tons of material grading 0.29 oz. on surface in preparation for a bulk sample at the end of January.
