Results enhance Tshane project

Exploration by Menora Resources (MEN-M) continues to add potential to the Tshane diamond project in southwestern Botswana.

A soil sampling program over a 1-km grid identified six anomalous areas of kimberlite indicator minerals. Indicator garnets are said to be present in each of the five anomalies that have been outlined, whereas work on the sixth area is incomplete.

Also, an aeromagnetic survey flown over the eastern portion of the concession has located four coincident diatreme-style targets.

Donald Sutherland, vice-president of operations, points out that the most promising anomaly, Lokgabwe, is not covered by the survey and that four geophysical targets have yet to be subjected to soil sampling.

“Future work has a high likelihood of identifying additional areas for detailed follow-up,” he says.
