Early results from drilling at the Eagle River gold property confirms that the No. 8 zone consists of a series of closely spaced, high-grade, plunging lenses and that No. 6 is a continuous, high-grade, narrow-vein system.
The property is 50 km west of Wawa, Ont., where River Gold Mines (TSE) has carried out definition drilling of the two zones above an existing drift at a depth of 120 metres.
River Gold, known formerly as Central Crude, says a second phase of work will involve drilling of specific targets. Two rigs will drill more than 100 holes.
