Rock and Roll

If channel sampling on the Rock and Roll project are representative of overall grades, partners Eurus Resource (VSE) and Thios Resources (VSE) could be on to a good thing. Thirty-one channel samples were taken over a strike length of about 50 ft. with 24 of the samples assaying 0.04-0.344 oz. gold, 10.7-150 oz. silver per ton, 0.64% to 8.99% lead, 0.28% to 23% zinc and 0.13% to 2.42% copper over sample widths of 1.3-7.9 ft.

The Rock and Roll project is six miles northwest of the SNIP deposit in the Iskut River area of northwestern British Columbia.

The companies are jointly earning a 100% interest in the project from a unit of Prime Resources Group (VSE) by spending $1 million by March 18, 1994, and making a cash payment of $500,000 by that date prior to any further expenditures.

The sampling was done on the Black Dog zone, a near-vertical shear structure, 8-10 ft. wide, containing massive pyrite, galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite.

Prime, which is contracted to do the work on the property, plans a detailed soil geochemical sampling program around the zone as well as orientation VLF-EM surveying for several lines over the immediate area of the discovery.

The companies anticipate that the work program will identify a number of targets for drilling in late September.
