Romios plans drill program at Lundmark Akow Lake property

A 3,000-ft. drill program is scheduled to begin at the Lundmark-Akow Lake gold property in northwestern Ontario.

Operator Romios Gold Resources (RGRI-C) reports that its main drill target is a coincident induced polarization-electromagnetic-gravimetric anomaly that occurs within a shear zone. Other geophysical anomalies have been indentified on the property as well.

Romios says its property is underlain by more than 23 km of strike length of banded iron formations similar to those that host the producing Musselwhite gold deposit, southeast of Lundmark-Akow Lake.

The 1999 drill program will be supervised by Guowei Zhang, a consulting geologist who recently completed a comprehensive study of the Opapimiskan Lake area to determine the structural features controlling the emplacement of gold deposits in the region.
