Roper, Silver Peak plan Abbott work

Additional development work at the Abbott project, 65 miles north of Trail, B.C., will begin in June.

Roper Resources (VSE) can earn a half interest in the property from Silver Peak Resources (VSE) by spending $1 million on exploration and development.

The work is expected to include 1,000 ft. of development work and two 10,000-ton bulk samples, as well as 4,000 ft. of diamond drilling along strike and to depth from the current measured reserve.

Abbott contains about 43,000 tons grading 10.26% lead and 16.12% zinc, as well as 0.035 oz. gold and 8.35 oz. silver per ton.

Silver Peak also plans to mill 3,000 tons of stockpiled ore from Abbott at its Ainsworth mill, near Kootenay Lake.
