Royal Scot starts drilling

A small drilling program totalling 2,500 ft. in six holes is under way at the Summit Lake property, owned by Royal Scot Resources. Located north of Stewart, B.C., Summit Lake is a former producer which shut down in 1985.

A summer program of mapping, sampling and geophysical surveys identified a number of surface and underground drill targets.

Surface drilling will test three areas where geophysical anomalies appear to be associated with gold- bearing pyrrhotite and pyrite mineralization.

Underground drilling will test the downdip extension of the Main zone. The former producer has a minable reserve of 132,000 tons grading 0.56 oz. gold per ton.
