Drilling by Roycefield Resources (ASE) on the Central zone of the Beaver Brook antimony-gold prospect in central Newfoundland has delineated reserves of 134,000 tons averaging 5.76% antimony and minor gold.
Drilling has been completed to a depth of 100 metres. Two other zones — the Western and Eastern — were intersected by previous drilling.
The Western zone, 1 km west of the Central, was tested with two holes in 1990. One hole intersected 3.75% antimony over 1 metre and 33.5% antimony over 0.5 metres. The Eastern zone, 3 km east of the Central, was later tested with one hole which assayed 48% antimony over 0.3 metres.
Roycefield has found an antimony soil geochemical anomaly coincident with these three zones on its 56-claim property. The company is planning additional drilling.
