Rusoro Mining (RML-V) has extended its Culebra zone by 100 metres after making a series of wide, near surface intercepts at its Increible 6 project in Bolivar State, Venezuela.
The company drilled 31 holes for a total of 4,500 metres along four zones during April and May.
At the Culebra zone, a total of 68 metres of drilling averaged 1.65 grams gold per tonne, including 37 metres grading 9.34 grams gold.
The Elisa zone, where a 21-metre intersection graded 4.72 grams gold per tonne, and the Olga zone, where a 17-metre intersection graded 3.31 grams gold per tonne, were both extended by 50 metres.
Highlights from the Cristina zone included 10 metres grading 3.65 grams gold per tonne and 16 metres grading 2.54 grams gold per tonne.
Increible 6 has an indicated resource of 4.7 million tonnes grading 2.9 grams gold per tonne, or 434,000 oz. gold and an inferred resource of 9.3 million tonnes grading 2.6 grams gold per tonne, or 766,000 oz. gold.
The drilling is part of a 79,000-metre drill program to expand the current resources.
Rusoro plans to finish a prefeasibility study by the end of 2007.
