San Andreas drilling for silver-lead-zinc

Diamond drilling is under way on the Prairie Creek property of San Andreas Resources (TSE), 300 miles west of Yellowknife, N.W.T.

The property hosts a geological resource of 6.8 million tons grading 12.9% zinc, 12.2% lead and 5.25 oz. silver within a series of vein and stratiform deposits. About two-thirds of the reserves are outlined in the Zone 3 deposit, in an area of vein mineralization 850 metres in length. The deposit is adjacent to a mill which is capable of processing more than 1,200 tons per day.

The bulk of the 40,000-ft. program will concentrate on testing extensions of the Zone 3 deposit. Exploratory drilling is also planned to test stratiform and vein mineralization in the Zone 4 area, as well as a number of promising targets scattered over the 110-sq.-km property, including the Zebra and Road showings.

San Andreas has completed a $2.5-million private placement of 2.5 million shares priced at $1 each.
