Second adit for Gulf Titanium

Gulf Titanium says a second production adit is planned at its Cruse/Belmont project in Montana. The new production working will open up the No 8 level while development work on the sixth level stockpiles ore for mill start-up.

The company now has a 100% interest in the project following the departure of Amax Exploration, the previous operator. Gulf says discussions are under way with several contractors for the construction of a 200-ton-per-day expandable mill. That work could begin this June.

Metallurgical test work suggests a standard flotation circuit will yield good recoveries and production revenues would be used to develop other holdings in the area. Similar structures and grades have been indicated by surface and underground drilling, the company adds.
