Shareholders OK Canarc merger

A proposed merger between Canarc Resource (VSE), Suntac Minerals (VSE) and Rembrandt Gold Mines (ASE) recently received shareholder approval and the companies expect to obtain court approval shortly.

The companies plan to merge on the basis of one share of the surviving Canarc for every 3.5 shares of Suntac or Rembrandt.

Bradford Cooke, president of Canarc, said the company should be trading on a merged basis by the end of August.
