Showings reported for Parker Lake

Exploration work at the Parker Lake project, 60 miles west of Rankin Inlet, N.W.T., is turning up nickel-copper-cobalt massive sulphide mineralization.

Parker Lake is owned 50% by Cumberland Resources (VSE), 25% by Manson Creek Resources (VSE) and 25% by Comaplex Minerals (TSE).

The newly discovered zone, dubbed the Suluk, has been sampled over a strike length of 1,800 ft. The structure measures up to 13 ft. wide and averages 3 ft. wide.

Ten representative grab samples from the length of the zone returned an average grade of 3.82% nickel, 2.93% copper and 0.165% cobalt.

Additional surface sampling and analysis for platinum group metals are under way.
