Drills are turning on the Aztec property in the northeastern Mexican state of Coahuila.
International Skyline Gold (VSE), 70% owner, says the first hole of the planned 4,500-ft., 14-hole program confirmed the presence of bornite. The hole is one of seven planned for the San Augustin copper-silver-zinc mineralized breccia zone. Last year, trenching over an area measuring 86 by 360 ft. returned an average of 0.36% copper, 1.28% zinc and 0.73 oz. silver per ton.
Four holes are planned for the Camacho copper-silver-zinc-mineralized dyke-and-breccia complex. Recent sampling there returned an average of 0.42% copper, 2.92% zinc and 2.21 oz. silver over an area measuring 80 by 180 ft. A further three drill holes are planned for the Galena
silver-lead-copper-mineralized zone, where sampling along 330 ft. of strike returned average grades of 2.24% copper, 2.54% lead, 1.81% zinc and 6.71 oz. silver.
