Snowden photo competition


Every year Snowden Group holds its “Celebrating the Mining Industry” photo contest and exhibition. The competition receives entries from around the world. This year’s first-prize winner received $10,000 and category winners received $3,000. The winners are (clockwise from left): “Loading” by Indra Manik, first place; “Doing it the hard way” by Richard Bell, Equipment/Machinery category; “Stairway to Aircore” by Greg Tossel, Landscape category; and “Artisanal miners mining for gold” by Hugh Francis, People/Culture category.
