Stabell and Acquisitor underground at Val d’Or LD

Work is under way on rehabilitating the No 2 shaft at Stabell Resources’ Dubuisson Twp. gold property near Val d’Or, Que.

The work, which is being done with Acquisitor Mines which has an option to earn a 50% interest in the property, includes the rehabilitation of the shaft, mapping, sampling of drift and the re-evaluation of geological reserves.

The exploration shaft reaches 1,026 ft in depth and the underground workings include about 8,000 ft of drift. Crews are working on two shifts and the shaft is already dewatered to the 750-ft level.

By spending $1.5 million this year, Acquisitor can earn a 25% interest in the property and an additional 25% interest by spending $2.5 million in the following year.

At Stabell’s Casa Berardi area property, the two companies have scheduled a 13,000-ft drilling program for later this month.
