Stillwater nominated for award

Stillwater Mining’s efficient management of water has been nominated for an award by Montana’s Bureau of Land Management.

At its Stillwater and East Boulder mines, the company has minimized water pollution, recycled water, and treated it through biological de-nitrification prior to discharge.

Says Stillwater CEO Frank McAllister: “I am glad our mines are receiving the recognition they deserve in protecting the environment.”

Stillwater is the only U.S. producer of palladium and platinum, and one of the few primary producers of platinum group metals outside of South Africa.
