Strateco intersects uranium at Matoush

Recent drilling results from the Matoush uranium project in north-central Quebec have extended the known strike length of the mineralization to 730 metres.

Owner Strateco Resources (RSC-V, SRSIF-O) drilled 38 holes in the recent field season, with samples from 12 holes still in the laboratory. The company recently got assay results from 17 of the holes drilled in its 13,668-metre summer program.

Among those results was the project’s best result so far, a 12.4-metre intersection that graded an average 2.1% U3O8, about 70 metres northeast of an earlier discovery hole.

Most other holes ran between 0.01% and 0.1% U3O8 over core lengths of 1 to 5 metres, although another hole about 120 metres further north graded 0.27% U3O8 over 2 metres.
