Stratmin uncovers gold showing

Seven of nine holes drilled over a length of about one mile have returned gold values in quartz veins within and adjacent to the 5-to-25- ft-wide Montpas shear, which runs in a medium of dioritic to grandioritic intrusives, the company says.

Among the better values are 0.89 oz gold per ton over 3 ft in hole 16, 0.91 oz over 1.3 ft in hole 24 and 0.7 oz over 4 ft in hole 26.

Operator of the project, with a 60% interest, is Noranda Exploration. Stratmin has earned a 40% interest and could increase its holding to 50%.

The mineralized zone is located immediately south of the Fontana exploration property in which Stratmin has an interest.
