Strong gold assays help Santa Elina in Brazil

Consistent gold mineralization at depth is evident from drill results reported by Santa Elina Gold (TSE) at its Fazenda Nova property in Brazil.

Since March, the company has drilled 38 diamond drill holes over a 450-by-180-metre area on a 50-by-50-metre grid.

The property, situated in western Goias state, consists of two main zones of mineralization, as well as soil and geophysical targets.

Drilling on one of these zones, the Lavrinha, returned 0.5 to 1.5 grams gold per tonne, and deeper holes tested the downdip extensions of mineralization intercepted in shallower holes.

More than 4,600 metres of core have been drilled, and Santa Elina plans to conclude in November with an additional 15 holes.

Auger drilling into the saprolitic zone of the deposit has returned enriched gold values. More than 510 holes have been drilled into the top 55 metres of weathered material.

Data indicate the mineralized trend is still open to the northeast. Anomalous auger results indicate a southwestern extension along the primary axis of the deposit and a southeastern extension out toward the Vital target.

Highlights from the latest round of drilling are above.
