Two holes drilled by Stroud Resources on its Hislop gold property near Timmins, Ont., have encountered additional mineralization in the Creek zone.
Hole 251 encountered 0.12 oz. gold per ton over 6.2 ft. and extended the zone to a depth of 1,250 ft. The company says a second hole (252) intersected a “good-looking” mineralized zone at a depth of 1,000 ft. But the zone, while anomalous in gold, contained no significant assays.
Before the program began, drill-indicated reserves at Creek were one million tons grading 0.186 oz. gold per ton.
Stroud plans to conduct a pre-feasibility study on the Creek zone to determine if underground bulk-sampling and drilling are warranted.
