Tan Range Expl. puts money into Itetemia gold project

Drill results from the Itetemia gold property in Tanzania have prompted Tan Range Exploration (ASE) to inject more cash into the project.

Tan Range has allocated more than US$2 million to the Itetemia project to fund a new diamond drilling program after determining, through the use of reverse-circulation drilling, that the graphite-pyrite exhalative horizon from the renowned 3.5-million-oz. Bulyanhulu deposit (owned by Vancouver-listed Sutton Resources) extends on to Tan Range’s property. The Itetemia property has extensive, highly anomalous gold and base metal values, indicating the presence of a hydrothermal system.

To date, Tan Range has released results from four of the 14 reverse-circulation holes drilled at Itetemia: 13.6 grams gold per tonne over 1 metre; 1.76 grams over 23 metres; 1.26 grams over 3 metres; and 2.36 grams over 5 metres.

Reverse-circulation drilling is continuing on the property.
