Tests prove positive for Curator Res.

Metallurgical tests are confirming metal recoveries for International Curator Resources (TSE) at its Boleo copper-cobalt project in Baja California Sur, Mexico.

The program includes orebody characterization tests and optimization studies for leaching and metal recovery processes.

Metal recoveries of 85% for copper and 75% for cobalt are being achieved.

The conceptual flowsheet for the project consists of agitated sulphuric acid leaching in seawater, first in an oxidizing environment and then under reducing conditions.

Solids would then be removed from the metal-bearing solutions prior to electrowinning.

Test work is continuing, and the company is in the process of extracting bulk samples of oxide and sulphide material from eight sites for a total of 10 tonnes.
