THE DIAMOND PAGE — Drilling program postponed on Alberta anomalies

Drilling on the 225,000-acre Troymin property near Hinton, Alta., has been postponed until the new year, as a result of winter weather conditions.

Nine potential kimberlite targets, identified by geophysical surveys and geochemical stream sediment sampling, will be tested.

The property is held 50% by Montello Resources (MEO-A), 40% by Troymin Resources (TYR-A), 5% by New Claymore Resources (NCS-V) and 5% by private interests.

Kennecott Canada can earn a 60% interest in the block of claims by spending US$2 million on exploration by the end of 1998.

In related news, Troymin Resources has picked up 470 claims totalling 18,800 acres in the Lac Volant area, north of Sept-Iles, Que. The claims were staked in partnership with Fonds Regional d’Exploration Miniere de la Cote-Nord.
