Thunderwood sets to work at Radar property

Toronto-based juniors Thunderwood Resources (THS-T) and Consolidated Abitibi Resources (CAQ-M) have launched their 1997 exploration program at the 3,378-ha copper-zinc-gold Radar prospect near Flin Flon, Man.

The $440,000 program will consist of 2,200 metres of drilling in 10 holes, a down-hole pulse-electromagnetic survey, geological mapping, geochemical sampling and a 50-km geophysical survey.

The program will seek to expand existing copper-bearing zones along strike and at depth, and will examine the property’s untested geophysical conductors.

The property is wholly owned by Aur Resources (AUR-T), with Thunderwood and Abitibi each able to earn a 30% interest by individually spending $5 million on exploration before Feb. 28, 1999.
