Tiberon cuts high-grade tungsten

Vancouver — Junior Tiberon Minerals (TBR-V) continues to report solid drill results from its Nui Phao polymetallic project in Vietnam.

The ongoing program is outlining the grade, width and continuity of a zone previously identified by the Geological Survey of Vietnam.

Highlights include hole 50, which intersected 45.9 metres grading 0.98% tungsten trioxide, including a 12-metre section that assayed 1.29% tungsten trioxide. Holes 50, 53, 54 and 55 were collared in a north-south fence 50 metres east of the central gossan area.

The deposit is viewed as a potential open pit. Drill results indicate a flat-lying body up to 160 metres thick, which stretches 2 km east-west and 300-400 metres across.

Mineralization is hosted in skarns and greisenized or retrograde equivalents. At Nui Phao, the greisenization consists of high-fluorine, beryllium, tungsten, tin and limited rare earth metals, which have replaced granitic dykes and earlier-formed skarn units.

Tiberon has retained the services of Mineral Resource Development (MRDI) to complete a mineral resource estimate at Nui Phao. Results are expected in November.

Tiberon holds a 70% interest in the Nui Phao project, with the remainder held by Vietnamese parties. The 32.1-sq.-km Nui Phao licence is in the northern province of Thai Nguyen, about 90 km north of Hanoi.

Highlights from the ongoing program are outlined in the accompanying table.
