Tiberon tables tungsten results

Vancouver — The latest results tabled by Tiberon Minerals (TBR-V) continue to outline a promising tungsten find at the Nui Phao project in northern Vietnam.The results include:

  • Hole 47 — four zones with values hitting up to 0.31% tungsten trioxide, 0.25% copper, 0.11% bismuth and 0.34 gram gold per tonne over 24 metres;
  • Hole 49 — three zones, including a 50-metre section running 0.52% tungsten trioxide, 0.28% copper, 0.13% bismuth and 0.41 gram gold;
  • Hole 50 — three zones with a 45.9-metre portion running 0.98% tungsten trioxide, 0.34% copper, 0.13% bismuth and 0.23 gram gold;
  • Hole 51 — 0.58% tungsten trioxide, 0.29% copper, 0.22% bismuth and 0.5 gram gold over 15.3 metres;
  • Hole 53 — three zones with values ranging up to 0.56% tungsten trioxide, 0.43% copper, 0.19% bismuth and 0.51 gram gold over 16 metres;
  • Hole 54 — 42 metres grading 0.39% tungsten trioxide, 0.39% copper, 0.17% bismuth and 0.37 gram gold; and
  • Hole 55 — two zones, including 18 metres grading 0.56% tungsten trioxide, 0.33% copper, 0.15% bismuth and 0.2 gram gold.

The drill program is continuing to outline the grade, width and continuity of a zone previously identified by the Geological Survey of Vietnam.

Mineralization on the property is hosted in skarns and pyrrhotite-rich retrograde equivalents.

In March 1999, the junior settled all outstanding litigation with Vietnam Resources with regard to the Nui Phao project.

Vietnam Resources relinquished all rights to the property in return for 1 million shares of Tiberon. Tiberon and Vietnam Resources have released each other from all claims or actions.

Tiberon now has a 70% interest in the Nui Phao project. The remainder is held by Vietnamese parties. The 32.1-sq.-km Nui Phao Exploration Licence is in Thai Nguyen province of northern Vietnam and is 90 km north of Hanoi.
