Toronto exchange surpasses records

The value of shares traded so far this year on the Toronto Stock Exchange topped $100.4 billion, breaking the previous yearly record of $100.3 billion set in 1987.

This year, the Toronto Stock Exchange has established several records. For example, in July, it set a new yearly mark for the number of shares traded. That record has since been extended to more than 10.3 billion shares.
