Toronto to host fourth geoscience conference in ’97

The fourth International Conference on Mineral Exploration, held every 10 years, is scheduled for Sept. 14-18, 1997, at Toronto’s Metropolitan Convention Centre.

The conference will focus on advances in geophysics and geochemistry, and will feature workshops in geophysics, geochemistry and geographical information systems.

A trade exhibition is also planned, as are technical tours.

Topics for the technical program include exploration geochemistry, integrated exploration information management, seismics in mineral exploration, and applications of regional geophysics and geochemistry.

Organized by committees of the Canadian mineral exploration community, the conferences are designed to benefit earth scientists, managers and academics.
