Transpacific Resources (CDN) has encountered gold mineralization in two mineralized zones at its property in McGarry Twp., east of Kirkland Lake, Ont.
One hole drilled in the property’s Instant Creek zone cut a 1.5-metre intersection grading 10.6 grams gold per tonne, at a vertical depth of 40 metres. Another, about 100 metres away, encountered four mineralized intersections, the best being 2 metres grading 7.5 grams gold at a depth of 70 metres. It included a 1-metre interval grading 14 grams.
A drill hole in the property’s F Zone found a 1.5-metre intersection with an average grade of 12.3 grams gold at a depth of 14 metres. Another hole had lower gold values.
An induced-polarization survey in the Instant Creek zone shows an anomaly with a strike length of 700 metres coincident with the known mineraliztion. Another, in the F Zone, has detected a 1,600-metre anomaly.
Transpacific is continuing with drilling in the F Zone to test for strike extensions and parallel structures. A drill program will investigate strike extensions on the Instant Creek zone.
