Trenching started at Mishibishu bet

Encouraging trench sampling results have been reported by Mishibishu Gold (VSE) from its Pukaskwa gold project about 110 km west of Wawa, Ont. The work was performed along a 4.2-km strike length of the east- central portion of the property, east and west of Aardvark Lake. Twenty-three of the 24 trenches dug this year were in the area of Aardvark Lake, where shearing was tested across widths of 10 metres containing up to 5.5 metres of quartz veining, the company says.

The project is described as covering a 15-km strike length of the western portion of the north limb of the major Mishibishu greenstone gold structural belt.

Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE) has an option to earn a 51% interest in the project through payments of $1.625 million and exploration expenditures of about $6.8 million over four years. A Hemlo Gold affiliate, Noranda Exploration, is the operator of the exploration program.
